Family: Acanthaceae A tropical shrub with 2½ inch light yellow flowers. Evergreen with 5 inch ovate to cordate softly hairy leaves. Grows 4 to 5 feet tall. Has an open, lax habit. Best in bright shade with moist, rich soil. Unknown quality for landscape value but might be of interest to the collector of rare plants. Native to Oaxaca, Mexico. Minimum temperature unknown, but probably 40F. Protect from frost. USDA zones 10 - 11.
