Family: Solanaceae Iochroma 'Countess' is a new interspecies hybrid between Iochroma australe 'Alba' and Iochroma cyaneum. It has medium pink flowers with lighter flare. Flowers are larger than either parent. It has the long tubular flowers of I. cyaneum with a slight flaring bell shape from I. australe. Nearly always in flower, lower more compact growing bush than Iochroma cyaneum. Much more trainable than pure I. cyaneum, grows a single main trunk. It is smaller growing than our other two pink varieties and lighter pink. Exclusive. (Thompson)
