This attractive medium sized shade tree is a choice ornamental with a dense evergreen crown of glossy green leaves and smooth gray bark. Narrow sprays of small greenish-yellow flowers are followed by pendant bunches of shiny orange fruit, which split open to reveal 1 to 2 shiny black seeds. Although quite rare in America, it's widely used as a street and shade tree in its native Australia. Moderate growth to 60 feet, tolerant of poor drainage and heavy clay soil. Frost resistant. USDA zones 9 - 11.
