This begonia is a member of Brad Thompson's "Saber" series of cane begonias ('Coral Sabers', 'Peppermint Sabers', and 'Pink Sabers'). Although named at the same time as its siblings, it was slow to mature at the time and didn't get circulated with the others. Leaves are a lovely dark olive green with deeply serrated edges and light white spots. It's a heavy bloomer with pure white flowers, which seem unaffected by sun scorch. It's growth habit is also different in that does not grow small and compact like the other "Sabers", but loves to shoot straight up to the stars. It's very full growing and easy to grow and can be kept lower growing with some training. Very few people have this "Saber" and it will be new to most of our customers.
