A medium leaved rhizomatous begonia. Depending on light conditions, B. 'Madame Rarick' can be pale green with a dark edge to a bright green with a few dark markings and a stitched edge that is roughly scalloped and serrated. Leaves have a very pronounced double spiral. Very tight compact habit, often hard to tell where one leaf starts and the other ends. Easy to grow and always showy. Dark bright pink flowers in spring on tall stalks. (Thompson)
