Was formally named 'Halloween' but we found there was already a B. 'Halloween' so it was changed. If you already have our plant named B. 'Halloween', please change it to 'Halloween Treat'. This is a small to medium leaved rhizomatous begonia. Leaves are lobed roughly star shaped, serrated and lobed with sparse hair on surface and edges. Under our light conditions (bright filtered light), B. 'Halloween Treat' spends most of the year in various shades of pumpkin from dark orange to tawny brown with some darker markings and a prominent central 'eye'. Near Halloween the leaves turn completely black with red glowing 'eyes' and veins. That's pretty much where its name originated. It stays small and compact but is easy to grow and full growing. Very odd shade of profuse hot pink flowers in spring. A great plant to aquire. (Thompson)
