Medium leaved rhizomatous begonia. Roughly star shaped leaves, lobed with hairy serrated edge. Leaves are dark red to a tawny brown with a fine green edge and darker markings along edge. New leaves have a red eye and radiating red veins that fade to white eyes with light red veins, hence the fading fire. Edges almost seem to glow because of the way the light hits the narrow green edge. Easy to grow, full growing, and spectacular in all its colorations. A bonus of light pink flowers in spring.
