Low growing rhizomatous. Has double spiral dark green leaves with coppery brown markings that are deeply cleft. Pink flowers held high above foliage in spring. Can be large leaved but grows compactly. Part of the Snake series. One of the rarest and hard to find of the series. (Thompson)
