In 1987, Mabel Corwin bred Begonia solimutata with Begonia reniformis and produced this notable thick-stemmed rhizomatous hybrid. It's an impressive grower with large circular bronzy-green textured leaves. Although it doesn't branch much, it does send up new growth from the base. Sprays of small white flowers adorn the plant in spring. Grow indoors in bright indirect light or outdoors in bright shade. Allow it to dry somewhat between waterings. It also likes extra humidity. It's a very attractive large growing begonia.
