Family: Acanthaceae Makes a wonderful conservatory plant or shade plant in the tropics. A small grower with glossy green leaves, it blooms heavily in the fall and winter with showy sprays of lavender flowers. Best with periodic feeding and protection from frost. It's attractive to Butterflies. Native to Penang, Sri Lanka, and India.
